Georgia Online Parenting Class Highlights:

Why Take a Georgia Parenting Class Online?

If you are getting a divorce in Georgia, you must attend a parenting class and file the Certificate of Completion with the court. Even if you feel like you are a seasoned caregiver, the court is concerned with the best interest of the child. The goal is teach parents how to improve communication and reduce the stress the divorce is causing for their kids. With prior approval from your judge, taking your class online will allow you the flexibility to learn new skills without interfering with your daily responsibilities. No driving across town to get to a classroom, no worry about childcare, no additional costs due to gas and parking, it’s all done in the convenience of your own home!

Georgia Divorce Laws

To file for divorce, one parent must be a resident of the state for 6 months prior to the filing. If the two of you can agree on all issues, the divorce can be granted in as quickly as 31 days after filing. If you go to trial, it can take months and even years. Under O.C.G.A. § 19-9-1, every divorce, custody matter or modification requires that the parents put together a formal Parenting Plan. This plan defines who the primary caregiver is, who the children live with, who has final decision-making authority, education decisions, travel, religious and basic medical issues. It should also define what other adults are allowed to assist in the childcare, extracurricular activity responsibilities and even how often the joint legal custodian can text, email or call the child. A child who is 14 or older has the right to decide with whom he/she wants to live with unless the judge overrides this request because it isn’t in the best interest of the child.

Guaranteed Certificate Acceptance Or Complete Refund

We take pride in the quality of our classes and stand behind all our programs. We always suggest that our clients get prior approval to take an online class. If you submit our certificate to the court and it is not accepted we provide a full refund within 60 days of class purchase. We just ask that you provide us with written proof of decline from the court or your attorney, or proof of enrollment in the new class you have to take instead. Once we receive this paperwork, we will process your refund back on to your credit card.

Georgia Class Review

“I have to admit that I was angry I had to take a parenting class since I'm a teacher and have already sent 2 kids off to college. This class was interesting and I was able to finish it on a Saturday when my ex-spouse had the younger ones. I ended up gaining new ideas and reflecting on how I've been handling things. I recommend this program!” Abby S. – Augusta, GA
