Wyoming Online Parenting Class Highlights:

Why Online?

There are many benefits to taking your parenting or co-parenting education class online. First of all, you can access the class from any Internet connected computer device like a Tablet, PC, Laptop or even your Smartphone. It's perfect for busy caregivers who travel for business, work odd hours and can't make the traditional classroom programs, don't have childcare or are just simply trying to juggle a busy schedule. Our classes are available 24/7 and allow you to work at your own pace so you can log in and out whenever you like. Many of our clients also appreciate the ability to take the class in the privacy and quiet of their own home instead of having to sit in a public classroom full of strangers.

How Does It Work?

Our classes are designed to be clear and easy to follow. There is nothing to print out or order separately. The cost of the class includes your proof of enrollment and certificate of completion. Simply register for the length of class you need and you can start immediately or wait until you have more free time. Once registered, your proof of enrollment is instantly available to print out. Start taking the class by reading through the material, page by page. There are short T/F quizzes at the end of each chapter and a Final Exam at the end. Once you pass the final with a 70% or better, you can instantly download a copy of your certificate of completion. We put the embossed hard copy in the mail to you. It's a convenient, affordable and engaging way to learn on your own schedule, not someone else's.

Wyoming Divorce Laws

According to the most recent reports from 2010, Wyoming was the 3rd highest state for divorce. At that time there were approximately 5.2 divorces for every 1,000 people. Some analysts attribute this to how easy it is to get a divorce in the state. Couples only need to live in the state for 2 months prior to filing for divorce. It's a "no-fault" state so separating couples only need to declare irreconcilable differences unless they are looking to get more alimony, property, child support or custody. The Wyoming courts will not finalize a divorce until at least 20 days after the date of initial filing.

Wyoming Statutes 20-2-201

Wyoming judges can ask parents to attend parenting classes based on their own discretion. Research shows that in many divorce situations, parents put their children in the middle of the conflict or overlook the stress they are going through. Parent education programs are designed to teach parents the importance of co-parenting, appropriate role modeling, conflict resolution skills, effective communication, anger and stress management techniques. Parents who do their best to work as a team although they reside in separate households, help stabilize the situation and develop strength and self-esteem in their children. Wyoming courts can approve online classes. Please ask your judge, probation officer or social worker for prior approval to take a distance learning class.

Wyoming Client Review

"Great class. It was interesting and I learned a lot about what steps to take to be the best parent I can be during this stressful time for my son. I feel more confident in the way I am handling things in his best interest. Staying at home to learn was a huge stress relief because I don't have extra money right now for a babysitter. Thank you for this program!" Jackie R. - Gillette, WY
