Online Parent Class is the industry leader for providing engaging, effective and convenient distance learning programs for your parenting and co-parenting needs. In Michigan, parents are generally required to complete an educationally based class for divorce, visitation, custody, adoption or foster care issues. The classes impress upon parents how important their role is in helping their child adjust to the changes and teach them new skills to handle this difficult time. All participants of our online classes have instant access to print out a proof of enrollment as soon as they register. There is no limit to the number of times the student logs in and out of the program, so classes can be taken whenever the parent has free time. When the class is finished, you will have instant access to download the certificate of completion. All officially embossed certificates are mailed via USPS at no additional charge. Why spend time away from your family or work responsibilities when you can learn from home? Click here to Register.

Michigan Online Parenting Class Highlights:

What Can I Expect Once I Register?

After you register, you will have instant access to the class. You simply read through the material and complete the chapters at your own pace. Most lessons are followed by a short T/F quiz. At the end of the class you will need to dedicate time to finish the final exam in one sitting. Once you pass with a 70% or better, you will have access to immediately download a copy of the Certificate of Completion. If you don't pass, you can continue to review the material and retake the test until you do. No hassle, no need for transportation, no need for babysitters and no sitting in boring classrooms! Classes are available to you 24/7.

Why Do I Have To Take This Class?

The divorce process can be a very unsettling time for the entire family. The legal system believes that parents genuinely want what is best for their kids, but don't always know how to handle this stressful time. Parent education programs are designed to help minimize the anxiety that children might experience. Programs suggest the best ways for communicating with the children about divorce, understanding the legal process, the importance of positive role modeling, empathetic listening and communication skills, tips for setting boundaries and appropriate discipline techniques, and how to manage stress and anger.

A Quality Michigan Online Program!

Parents in Michigan can get approval from their judge or social worker to take an online program instead of going into traditional weekly classes. You can feel confident that our classes are designed by a licensed and practicing psychotherapist utilizing the most recent research. You can also verify the legitimacy of our company with the BBB. We are proud of our A+ rating! If you have any questions prior, during or after completion, you can reach a real person to speak with Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. If we don't answer right away, please leave a message and we will get back to you shortly. Email support is available 7 days a week. We provide the convenience and quality you need at an affordable price!

Divorce Laws in Michigan

To file for a divorce in Michigan you or your spouse must have been a resident for the previous 6 months. If there are children involved, there is a 6 month waiting period from the day you file. If there are disagreements, then the closure can take much longer. You don't have to "prove" that the other party did anything wrong to obtain a divorce. All decisions made by the court are in the best interest of the children, not necessarily the parents. The presumption is that children should have the opportunity to continue a close relationship with both parents so the court leans towards giving both caregivers "parenting time".

Michigan Client Review

"This was a great class! I felt like I was already a good parent and this was a punishment from the court. Instead I found this class to be interesting and helpful. I reviewed some of my own behavior and have changed my ways. Thank you for providing this service." Danielle B. - Dearborn, MI
