California Online Parenting Class Highlights:
Why Is the Court Mandating a Class?
The family court might require a parenting or co-parenting class if you are going through a divorce, adoption, or becoming a foster parent. The goal is to assist caregivers with new proven techniques that help you to best parent your child. The idea is to help make the transition as easy on your child as possible.
How Does Taking The Program Online Help Me?
Online Parent Class enables caregivers to learn the material from the convenience of home, the library, hotel room or anywhere there is WIFI service. You don't have to miss any school, work or family commitments because you can log in and out of the class at your own convenience. You end up saving money because there's no hidden costs like gas, parking or babysitting expenses. The classes are available 24/7 so you can take the class late at night after everyone has gone to sleep or over the weekend.
When you have successfully finished the program, you can immediately download and print out a copy of your Certificate of Completion. It's a fast way to get your requirement accomplished quickly!
California Divorce Laws
California courts strive to make the divorce process as easy as possible for the child. They take into account each parent's relationship with the child to date, any evidence of neglect or abuse, and a detailed look at the child's health, safety, education and overall general welfare. The court will do it's best to maintain the pre-divorce routine as much as possible.
California Family Code section 3042
This statute went into effect in January 2012. It tries to give the child a voice by making the child's custody preference a more significant factor than in the past. Now the court must listen to adolescents 14 years or older (unless the court decides it's unnecessary).
Parenting Classes in California
Each court in California can decide if they want to assign parenting or co-parenting classes to the parents. If you have been required as part of your legal agreement, we suggest that to ease the strain of this difficult time, you ask the judge or your attorney to allow you to take an online parenting class instead of going to weekly in-person classes.
California Customer Response
"I was mandated to take 16 weeks of parenting classes but absolutely couldn't make it to the classroom each week because of my crazy work schedule. I was able to take this class online and get through it one weekend. As soon as I turned the certificate of completion in, I was back on track to having my kids every weekend."
